Blaster/Painter

job is to apply protective coatings and paints to surfaces and structures using sandblasting and spray painting equipment. They also prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning and removing rust, dirt, and other debris. 

Key Responsibilities May Include:

• Surface preparation: Clean and mask areas that won't be painted, and inspect surfaces to ensure they're ready for coating 

• Sandblasting: Use sandblasting equipment to remove paint, rust, and other debris 

• Painting: Apply paint using a spray gun, brush, or roll, and mix paint to the desired color and consistency 

• Safety: Follow safety procedures, wear protective equipment, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards 

• Equipment operation: Operate sandblasting equipment and spray guns, and maintain and clean the equipment 

• Documentation: Document inspections and paint usage 

• Collaboration: Work with team members to complete projects efficiently

• General labor and cleaning tasks
